1. If you want something different, you have to do something different.
What can you do today that will move you closer to some important goal? What will you do?
2. Feedback is the breakfast of champions! There is no failure, only feedback.
Adopt this belief and it’s impossible to fail because you are never discouraged when things don’t work out as planned. Instead of seeing “failure”, you see only feedback, and with that feedback you can make course corrections and get back on the road to success.
3. “You don’t get what you deserve, you get what you communicate.” Tad James, PhD.
Becoming a more effective communicator is one of the most valuable, success-enhancing skills you can ever develop.
It doesn’t matter if you are a Mom or a Dad, a boss or an employee, a friend or an associate, and it doesn’t matter if you are buying or selling; the better you are at getting your point across, being understood and being accepted by the person you are communicating with, the better your life will be… and that is simply that.

Things of value come with a price. Jefferson was right, if you want liberty, you have to pay attention, and not let little demagogue politicians legislate it out from under your feet.
Likewise, good health requires vigilance in diet, nutrition, and exercise.
Good relationships require vigilance to establish and maintain.
Financial success requires vigilance. Developing any skill or talent requires vigilance.
In short, the price of success is paying attention, staying focused, and doing what it takes to get what you want. Anything short of this is just wasting time.

Successful people seldom retire, not because they can’t, but because they love what they do so much, retirement would be like punishment. They may eventually leave a job, but they never leave doing what they love.
When you love what you do, regardless of how hard you may work, it just seems like fun and worthwhile accomplishment.

If you want something different, you have to do something different. But you can’t do just anything… you have to do the right thing, and that means you have to be open to new information and be willing to learn.

Everything comes to he who waits is the Official Lazy Person’s Creed. Nothing works until you do, never has and never will.
You may find it interesting that the hardest working basketball player in history was Michael Jordan, and the two hardest working golfers in history are Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods.
The most successful people at any endeavor are also the one’s who are the most committed and who work the hardest.
8. If God was interested in the opinion of a committee, he wouldn’t have sent just one man.

You create your EXPERIENCE of reality.
Whether your glass is half-empty or half-full, and what that means is completely up to you. You can happy, sad, angry, or glad about practically anything, it’s entirely up to you.
10. The solution to your problems lies in your own ability to make new distinctions.
Albert Einstein said, “It is impossible to solve any problem with the same level of thinking on which it was created.” From this it follows that to REALLY solve a problem, you have to GET OUT OF THE BOX both you and the problem are contained in, and look at the situation from a different point of view. Only then can meaningful change occur.
11. If you could wave a magic wand and have your wish come true, what change would you make? Remember, things don’t change unless people do.

Gravity doesn’t care; the road to hell is paved with good intentions. If a job is worth doing - it’s worth doing well. So be willing to do it well, or do eveyone a favor and don’t bother with it at all.
